Creating a Brand Identity - How Charlotte Became
the Bobcats Media Guide
As part of the comprehensive branding project for the Charlotte Bobcats, Gameplan Creaive created and produced a media guide chronicling
the identity project. How Charlotte Became the Bobcats covers the expansion team’s brand building from the
name, logo and uniform launch in March of 2004. The brochure was handed out to the media to coincide with the team's launch. Topics covered in the booklet include the
1200 names considered for the team; a look at over 75 logo sketches for the final three names and the overall formula Gameplan uses to develop a successful team identity.
