On New Year's Day, the second annual NHL Winter Classic took place at legendary Wrigley Field. The NHL and the Chicago Blackhawks commissioned Gameplan Creative to document this once-in-a-lifetime, global event featuring the longtime Original Six rivals: the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks. In the course of three weeks, our production crews shot high-definition video and photography, resulting in over 60 hours of original footage and more than 1500 stills. From the arrival of the refrigeration truck and rink installation to the final buzzer, Gameplan captured each key moment of this epic hockey event.
